Have you ever gone on your laptop and feel like your whole life is messed up? Trust me I've been there. But I have been given some tips and tricks on how to organize your device, and I want to share them with you. The thing that you don't want to do is have a laptop where all your folders and tabs are everywhere. Also, you should find a specific time when you will organise your device so that you don't have to worry about writing that essay or finishing a task. Find some free time to do or else you will get really stressed.
Being organised is important in the life of a student because it helps us to get things done
Tip #1 - Organise your files
I remember when I was in primary school, and I did not have my own personal laptop. It was hard. I sometimes found it hard to find my work because it was everywhere. But then I started to organise my work in folders when I got my own laptop. If you use Windows, you will most likely have File Explorer. If you want to add a folder, you have to go onto your documents and go to the top left corner. There you will find a button that has a plus and says new. The first option should be 'Folder'. Click that and then a file icon will appear. It will say 'New Tab'. You can change it whatever name you want. You should have 2 main folders. One for school or work use and one for personal use. This helps organise your files, document and pictures.
Tip #2 - Have a to do list
Having a to do list is a great way of staying on track with what you have to do. When I create a to do list I feel the pressure, but I also feel the urge to complete that task. It's like a race, there may be so many nerves inside, but at the same time you just want to be you best. Let me show you how to use the Microsoft app 'To Do'.
In your apps on Microsoft, you will find an app called 'To Do'. Click that app.
When you have clicked that app, it will take you to the app(obviously!) In the bottom left corner, you will find a button that says new list. As you can see in the image above, I have added lists for my different subjects. You can add a list for as many things as you want. Then you can add different tasks you need to do. You can also set due dates for the tasks.

Tip #3- Have an inspiring wallpaper
This one isn't really about organisation , but rather mindfulness and happiness. My wallpaper currently is my vision board. But when I log into my laptop, I have a picture of a meal I once had at a cafe. Your wallpaper has to define you. Some people might choose an animal or their favorite show, but that all comes down to you. You can find many different wallpapers online, or you could use your own photos.
Tip #4- Organise your tabs
When you go into your Microsoft word or Google Chrome you can add tabs to your favorites bar. Just simply press the star on the right of the search bar. You can then rename the tab or keep it the same.
What did we learn?
So today we have learnt how to keep our laptops organised. What next? We need to make sure we maintain our organisation.
But anyways, thank you for your time. Please tell me in the comments below whether this was helpful or not.
Thank you Byeeeeee💖
